The MAKÜFEST 2025 Sports Festival, organized by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) between April 7 – May 16, 2025, continues with exciting competitions. The matches held at various sports facilities of the university and Bucak Indoor Sports Hall are attracting great interest with a large participation of students and staff.
The organization held in football, basketball, and volleyball branches is conducted in 9 different categories, including male students, female students, and staff. A total of 83 teams from MAKÜ's academic and administrative units are taking to the field to compete for the championship.
The tournament, where participants experience both the spirit of competition and friendship, offers the university community a combination of sporting excitement and unity. MAKÜFEST 2025 continues with great enthusiasm as the final week approaches.
Friends did not forget Emirhan Ateş
Emotional moments were experienced during the competitions. Emirhan Ateş, a 5th-year student of our University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, who lost his life in a traffic accident with his family in Samsun Çarşamba in recent weeks, was commemorated by his friends. Friends who took to the field with Emirhan's photo before the match wanted to keep his memory alive and show that they will never forget him.
