Emotional graduation ceremony for alumni on the 60th anniversary from MAKÜ Faculty of Education

MAKÜ Faculty of Education organized a special 'Gown Wearing Ceremony' for teachers who graduated between 1983–2000 on the occasion of its 60th anniversary. This meaningful event, spanning from the past to the present of the faculty, turned into a time journey for the graduates.

The ceremony, which started with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, witnessed emotional moments accompanied by a music recital and the Teacher's March. Participants, reliving the excitement of being students after years, reunited with warm memories of the past during the ceremony.

Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Firdevs Savi Çakar, referring to the 60-year history of the faculty, said, “We are training teachers who shape the future with the strength we derive from the past.” Speaking on behalf of the graduates, Olcay Kurt expressed the happiness of feeling like a student again on this special day.

The most special moment of the ceremony was the ceremony where the gowns were dressed on the graduates by Dean Savi Çakar. As participants experienced these unforgettable moments with tears and smiles, all graduates threw their caps accompanied by the 10th Year March at the end of the event, reliving the graduation excitement after years.

Graduates were presented with a commemorative certificate, a special keepsake, and the work 'Safahat'. The ceremony ended with souvenir photos.
