They received their International Trade Ambassadors certificates at MAKÜ

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Burdur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Bucak Chamber of Commerce and Industry successfully completed the Burdur International Trade Ambassadors Program (BUTEP’26) in collaboration. A certificate ceremony was held in the MAKÜ Senate Hall for international students who completed the training process within the program.

 

At the end of five weeks of training and field studies, 12 international students from 7 different countries earned the title of “International Trade Ambassador.” Participants had the opportunity to examine foreign trade processes on-site through technical visits to various businesses in addition to theoretical training.

 

Within the program, students received training in areas such as foreign trade financing, payment methods, international markets, e-commerce, negotiation techniques, and global trade practices. During the training process, technical visits were also organized to Duranlar Milk, BİM Birleşik Mağazalar A.Ş., Portsan Marble, and Orallar Group companies.

 

Speaking at the ceremony, Burdur Development Center Director Dr. Faculty Member Batuhan Medetoğlu stated that the main goal of the program is to train international students as competent individuals in the field of foreign trade. Dr. Faculty Member Medetoğlu emphasized the importance of supporting theoretical knowledge with practical application, stating that the business visits made significant contributions to the professional development of the students.

 

Dr. Faculty Member Medetoğlu highlighted that this year's program has reached a stronger structure in terms of international participation, noting that students from Azerbaijan, Germany, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan participated in the program.

 

At the end of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were presented to the company representatives and academics who supported the program, while the 12 students who successfully completed the training received their certificates.
