International Student Master's/Doctorate Programs Application

Dear Prospective Student,

 

 Within the scope of the Directive on Admission of Students from Abroad, Foreign National Students can apply online for Graduate Programs for the Fall Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year between August 13 - August 24, 2025.

The application process consists of 2 stages:

 

Stage 1: Payment of Application Fee

  • - First, you need to create a user account by entering https://yos.mehmetakif.edu.tr/login.
  • - After logging into the system, you need to pay the application fee of 20 USD online.
  • - Once the payment process is completed, the system will automatically direct you to the application page.
  • - Important Note: The application fee is non-refundable.

Stage 2: Document Upload and Preference Procedures

  • - After the fee is paid, you need to click on the “Create a new account” button through the system to create a user again.
  • - Then you can upload the necessary documents and complete your preference procedures.

 

 DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ONLINE APPLICATION

 

Documents Required for Application to Graduate Programs:

a) Notarized copy of the undergraduate and/or graduate diploma and its Turkish translation

b) Notarized copy of the transcript and its Turkish translation

c) Photocopy of passport/identity document, (identity-related parts of the passport) 

d) Document showing Turkish proficiency level (B1/ B2 or C1) from TÖMER (If available)

e) For Doctorate Program candidates, a document showing foreign language proficiency, (Foreign National candidates applying for Doctorate programs are required to have scored at least 55/100 from YDS or an equivalent exam in any of the English, German, or French languages. Candidates who do not have any of these documents must meet the required language condition by the end of the course phase).

 

* All non-Turkish documents require an officially certified translation.

 

* The Turkish Language requirement is not sought for foreign national students who graduated from a higher education institution in Turkey.
