The 102nd year enthusiasm with the "Run for the Republic" event at MAKÜ

Approximately 50 athletes gathered in front of the İstiklal Campus Rectorate Building and started the run with the start signal from Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy. The run, which started in front of the Rectorate building and was held on a 2-kilometer course, ended at MAKÜ İstiklal Stadium.

In the competition, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy came first in the staff category, Mehmet Kahraman from the Student Affairs Department came second, and Prof. Dr. Derya Aslan Özer from the Faculty of Education took third place. The top three staff members were awarded the "Run for the Republic" special prize.

In the race held among students, Mevlüde Kama took the first place podium among women, while Şeyma Solak came second, and Sıla Kara came third. In the male students category, Yunus Mert Oktay achieved first place. Mustafa Can Ekinci came second, and Ahmet Büyük took third place.

The medals for the students who ranked in the competition were presented by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy and Prof. Dr. Hakan Öner, along with the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Emrah Atay.

The event combined the excitement of the 102nd anniversary of the Republic with sports, providing enjoyable moments for university staff and students.
