MAKÜ's Exam Management System was selected as a good practice example by YÖKAK

The second YÖKAK International Quality Assurance and Accreditation Conference, hosted by Yıldız Technical University on September 14-15, 2026, brought together current approaches in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, primarily focusing on quality assurance and accreditation, with higher education stakeholders. 

The presentation made by MAKÜ Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hakan Öner and MAKÜ Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Damla Bilecen Şen shared MAKÜ's Exam Management System with participants in the Good Practices Panel held during the conference.

The Exam Management System, developed to make the university's measurement and evaluation processes more systematic, traceable, and sustainable, enables the effective management of exam processes in a digital environment. The system also contributes to the monitoring of learning and program outcomes, the analysis of exam results, and the use of obtained data in continuous improvement efforts carried out within the scope of quality assurance.

Thanks to the system that integrates the digitalization of measurement and evaluation processes with a quality assurance approach, the data obtained can be used in monitoring and evaluating educational processes, while also providing an important infrastructure for evidence-based improvement efforts.

Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar commented on the selection of the Exam Management System as a good practice example by YÖKAK as follows;

“The future of universities will be determined by how they use the knowledge they possess and how they reflect this knowledge on the quality of education. We see quality assurance at MAKÜ as a management culture that guides our decisions and continuously drives our development.

With the Exam Management System we developed with this understanding, we can closely monitor our students' learning outcomes, evaluate our educational processes in light of data, and base our improvement efforts on concrete evidence. Our priority in digital transformation is to produce solutions that will enable our students to receive a higher quality education.

The selection of our system as a good practice example by YÖKAK and its sharing on an international platform is a valuable recognition of our efforts in this direction. Our goal is to be a university that contributes to the common development of higher education while developing solutions for its own needs. I would like to thank all my colleagues who contributed to this success.” 

By having a nationally developed institutional application evaluated as a good practice example by YÖKAK and shared on an international platform, MAKÜ had the opportunity to share its experience in quality assurance and digital transformation with various stakeholders in higher education through the Exam Management System.
