Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) organized an orientation program for international students joining the university as part of the new academic year. After the program, which introduced the university with the participation of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy, the students visited Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar in his office.
During the orientation program held due to the new academic year, information was provided to international students about MAKÜ's academic structure, educational opportunities, and university life. After the presentation accompanied by slides, the students met with Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar.
Addressing the students during the visit, Rector Dalgar emphasized that international students are valuable to the university and wanted them to feel at home at MAKÜ. Rector Dalgar stated that the university would provide support for any issues students might encounter during their educational processes and expressed that they could reach academics through the International Office on every matter from personal life to city life.

Rector Dalgar pointed out that international students play an important role in promoting the university and stated that MAKÜ aims to increase the number of international students. Noting that the quotas have been increased in this direction and that efforts are ongoing, Rector Dalgar highlighted the importance of students sharing their experiences at the university with their friends in their home countries.
Joint meeting plan with international students
Rector Dalgar expressed that they aim to strengthen ties with international students and said that they plan to organize a comprehensive program with the participation of all international students in the upcoming process.
