The Akif Week Sports Tournaments at MAKÜ Faculty of Sports Sciences ended with an award ceremony.

The sports tournaments organized by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Sports Sciences as part of Mehmet Akif Ersoy Week concluded with an award ceremony. Throughout the week, students and staff competed with sportsmanship and determination in various sports branches.

The organized tournaments stood out as meaningful events that not only involved athletic competition but also brought the determination, moral stance, and fighting spirit represented by Mehmet Akif Ersoy into campus life.

Table Tennis Tournament results;
In the women's category, Habibe Elif Çınar achieved first place, while Zeynep Şule Kurucu came in second, and Melek Küçüksalvarcı took third place.

In the men's category, Recep Eren Dikmen secured first place, Ziya Kapan came in second, and Furkan Erçelik took third place.
In the staff category, Engin Keleş stood on the first place podium, Mehmet Seyirci came in second, and Kazım Gürcan took third place.

In the Squash Tournament, Büşra Kuru came in first in the women's category, Nursan Şentürk second, and Cansu Kaya third. The medals were presented by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ulaş. In the men's category, İsmail Safa came in first, Ramazan Yağcı second, and Arda Erten third.

In the Chess Tournament, Mustafa Güneri came in first, Recep Karadaba second, and Ayşe Sudem Algedik took third place.

In the Pickleball Tournament, in the women's category, the duo Tutku Narman Özsoy – Nursan Şentürk came in first, Esra Kuru – Fatma Nur Angın second, and Selen Doğan – Sanal Sena Işık third. In the men's category, Oğuzhan Dalkıran – Ömer Can Keser won first place, İsmail Sadık – Yusuf Sıralı second, and Burak Erdem Çakar – Nadir Can Sevil third.

In the Akif Run, in the women's category, Mevlüde Kama came in first, Seray Altıntaş second, and Sırmanur Korkmaz third; in the men's category, Burak Torbat came in first, Ömer Senay second, and Ömer Faruk Çalışık took third place. The Akif Week Special Award was given to Halit Beydilli.

The medals and trophies for the athletes who placed in the competitions organized by Lect. Dr. Mine Ömercioğlu and Lect. Dr. Nida Nur Ekici were presented by the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Emrah Atay, Deputy Deans Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan Dalkıran and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ulaş, Faculty of Sports Sciences lecturers Dr. Lecturer Mert Nalbant, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Haşim Akgül, Lect. Dr. Emirhan Pehlivan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Şahin, Res. Asst. Yakup Köse, and Head of Health, Culture and Sports Department Süleyman Yarar.
