Comprehensive visit to Gölhisar campus by Rector Dalgar

During the program that lasted throughout the day, Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, accompanied by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Tekşen, Rector Advisor Dr. Faculty Member Veysel Dal, and General Secretary Ümit Yavuz, visited Gölhisar Vocational School, Gölhisar Health Services Vocational School, and Gölhisar Applied Sciences Vocational School. While examining the physical structures, educational infrastructures, and ongoing projects of the schools on-site, evaluations were also made regarding the new building project.

While inspecting the laboratories at Gölhisar Health Services Vocational School, Rector Dalgar also met with students and chatted with them. Rector Dalgar, who visited the indoor carpet field added to the campus and the Hisar Youth Office launched under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, accompanied the students in their social and sports activities. Sharing the same table with students during lunch, Rector Dalgar listened to the demands and expectations of the youth.

During the program, Rector Dalgar met with students in the conference hall and made evaluations on communication skills, career development, and the importance of micro-competencies in the business world during the “First Lesson” event. Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar emphasized the importance of students' continuous learning and self-improvement skills.

In the Academic Board Meeting held with the participation of the academic staff of the three schools on the Gölhisar campus, innovative educational models, the need for academics to keep themselves and educational materials up to date, and a student-centered education approach were discussed.

Additionally, plaques were presented to academic and administrative staff who have completed 20 years in the profession during the program. Rector Dalgar thanked the employees who have worked for the institution for many years.

In the final part of the visit, the meeting held at Orallar Plaza addressed the “Cannabinoid-Based Health Technologies” project. In the studies conducted in collaboration with MAKÜ and Orallar Group Companies, projects regarding the use of high value-added products obtained from hemp in the health field were evaluated. Information was shared especially about the development processes of transdermal patches and cannabinoid-containing topical gels.

The delegation also visited the extraction facility established within İnsitü Green Technologies A.Ş. in the last part of the program, receiving technical information about production, extraction, and purification processes.

The Gölhisar program concluded with an on-site evaluation of MAKÜ's student-centered education approach, as well as university-industry collaborations and efforts towards regional development.
