Promotion campaign from MAKÜ for the preference period

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) hosted counselors and guidance teachers who guide students during the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) preference process on the university campus. The event, organized by the Promotion Coordination, was held at Lavanta Tepesi Hotel and Avşar Han.

 

Within the scope of the program, detailed information was provided to guidance teachers about the university's academic structure, practical education approach, and the opportunities it offers. The event was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy, Promotion Coordinator Dr. Lecturer Didem Korkmaz Ülüfer, Rector Advisor Dr. Lecturer Veysel Dal, and Tourism Facilities Coordinator Assoc. Dr. Serhat Adem Sop, as well as academicians from different faculties.

 

Speaking at the event, Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy emphasized the importance MAKÜ places on practical education, saying, "With the 6+2 and 7+1 applications at our university, we aim to graduate our students ready for the sector. Thanks to the hotel and sports facilities on our campus, our students can receive their vocational training directly in practice areas."

 

Prof. Dr. Gürsoy also touched upon the university's scientific research infrastructure, stating that financial support provided to students through TÜBİTAK supports and BAP funds has been increased. Emphasizing that the Faculty of Dentistry is equipped with the latest technology equipment, Gürsoy said, "The National Technology Workshop will also be put into service in the upcoming period."

 

Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Lecturer and Rector Advisor Dr. Lecturer Veysel Dal provided information about the Career School, which aims to support students in career planning. Tourism Facilities Coordinator Assoc. Dr. Serhat Adem Sop also highlighted the importance of practical education and explained the contributions of MAKÜ's hotel and sports facilities to students.

 

At the end of the program, the MAKÜ promotional film was shown, and the university's physical and academic facilities were conveyed by academicians.

 

The event concluded with the collection of guidance teachers' opinions and a campus tour.
